Getting Started with ProtectCord

Getting Started with ProtectCord

Welcome to ProtectCord! This guide will help you invite ProtectCord to your server and complete the basic setup to get started.

1. Inviting ProtectCord

To begin using ProtectCord, you need to add it to your Discord server:

  1. Visit the ProtectCord Website: Go to ProtectCord.com and locate the invitation link for the bot.

  2. Invite to Server: Click on the invite link, and Discord will prompt you to select the server where you want to add ProtectCord. Note that you must have "Manage Server" permissions to add a bot.

  3. Grant Required Permissions: Make sure to authorize ProtectCord with the required permissions so it can perform verification and blocking functions effectively.

2. Initial Setup

Once ProtectCord is in your server, it’s ready to start verifying users and blocking unwanted accounts. Here’s how to get set up:

  • Verify Settings: ProtectCord will begin verifying new users as they join, helping to block alt accounts, bots, and VPN connections. You can adjust ProtectCord’s permissions to ensure it can manage roles and respond to verification requests.

  • Channel Setup: You may want to create dedicated channels for ProtectCord's verification and logs to keep the bot’s activity organized. Setting up these channels will allow you to keep track of who is verified and monitor blocked users.

Once added and set up, ProtectCord will automatically handle verification, alt detection, and VPN blocking to keep your server safe and secure.
